Safety

Take care of the ones you love

From the very beginning, you always want the best for your loved ones and will do whatever it takes to keep them safe.

So you invest in the best. The best cot. The best baby monitor. The best pushchair. The best car seat. The list goes on and on. Careful research, time, effort and a great deal of thinking to make those best choices. And while TYRES probably don’t feature on your ‘best list’, if you’re serious about keeping your loved ones safe, here’s some food for thought:

What type of tyre should you fit to your car? Budget or premium.

Well, if you need to stop in an emergency, money is the last thing on your mind.

When should you change your tyres?

Your tyre tread depth may look OK to the naked eye, but just a couple of millimetres of extra tread could make all the difference to your stopping distance when it really matters. You must make sure to check your tyres regularly.

What type of tyre should I choose? Standard, winter or All Season.

Even in the UK our temperatures vary from 30 degrees in summer to -5 degrees in winter, tyre compounds react differently to heat and cold. A rule of thumb is if it’s below 7 degrees fit a winter tyre, above 7 degrees fit a standard tyre. If you need a tyre that is efficient across the widest temperature range, fit all-season.
