Whilst Continental agricultural tyres are engineered for efficiency, the only way to benefit from them is to have them on your machine. Thousands of hours are lost when tyres fail, and replacements take time to find. This is why we recommend that you order tyres ahead of your heavy work periods and have them fitted so you can benefit from better grip, lower fuel consumption and, crucially, no downtime. 

If you plan to travel high hours on the road with a tractor, or have a harvester in the field for days, we implore you to check its tyres before the busy period starts. During Winter and before spring cultivation, grassland or harvest work, check your tyres for wear, cuts, cracks and bulges. If significant damage is found, it is time to order replacements and have them fitted so you don’t risk tyre failure. 

If the lugs are well worn and wear is apparent elsewhere on a tyre, it is time to change them. Rather than wait for the tyre to fail, which could be dangerous for the machine, operator and others, pre-emptive replacement will save you time and money, and provide peace of mind.

A new tyre will have lower rolling resistance on the road, better grip in the field and will provide this whilst using less fuel. The downtime caused by failed tyres could cost thousands if during a weather window that must be hit to harvest the crop in peak condition. Don’t leave it to chance, have your replacement tyres ordered ahead and have them fitted before the most important periods in your farming system.
