Extreme E Sponsorship
Extreme E was a new concept of racing staging races with electric SUVs in extreme conditions to raise awareness for the visible consequences of climate change. The races took place at different locations around the world already showing concrete effects of the climate change. Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Greenland, and Sardinia were some of the locations hosting this Championship.
Continental was the founding partner of the Extreme E series for 2019 and 2020. Then we became Premium Partner and Tyre Supplier in the series 1-4 from 2021 to 2024.
As a sponsor of Extreme E we equipped the teams with specially made tyres and showcased the performance of Continental tyres in extreme conditions in very different environments.
This underlines our engineering competence and technological expertise.
With Extreme E we inspired motorsport enthusiasts and also informed viewers about environmental challenges in an interesting, sporty surrounding, broadcast live on ITV in the UK.
Extreme E was also an innovative format addressing important trends in our industry like electrification, trends towards SUVs, as well as aiming to create awareness in the topic of sustainability.
The series aimed to combine world-class motorsport and driving in the most demanding environments in the world, providing manufacturers with an important platform for research and development of their sustainable mobility solutions.
